This coiled bowl is smoothed with a hand-touched texture on the inside and outside. The three tiny handles on each side of the bowl appear fragile and vulnerable to breaking – and they were quite fragile through the molding, drying, and bisque phase of the piece. However, the hot cone10 fire, combined with a double-glaze makes these small handles functional and resilient to use.
