Baptism

An original Cut Paper Collage using small pieces of recycled magazine paper to create a surreal image of a young girl being forcefully baptized by a mother figure, in a waterfall. A mother bear viciously rips into a moose in the background, as her cubs look on. Embedded in the rocky landscape are crowds of people watching the humiliation of the girl and the death of the moose. It is about the juxtaposition of violence and religion contrasted against the purity of intention (represented by the girl).

This original collage is 13×17″ and is varnished with a UVL varnish. Framed in a 3″ matt with a textural high-quality frame (framing valued at $380).
