Inspired by my youngest son, Langston, this piece is about nonverbal children who have the courage to step into the deep waters of life’s unknown, facing things like physical, neurological, and social challenges. It is a painting that focuses on the magic of light and water, and how these elements are often regulatory agents for sensory processing.
This piece is painted on a deep 1.5″ canvas, with gallery-wrapped painted sides, framed in a burnt umber wooden offset frame, signed on the bottom right corner, and varnished with a gloss varnish.
