8″×10″
Acrylic on Canvas
To celebrate my completion of the University of Arizona’s Master Gardener program, I started a series of still-life paintings focused on the vegetables and fruits I grow here in Arizona. This is the second painting in the series, which depicts the subtle color shifts of some varieties of heirloom tomatoes, along with the tomato plant’s stems, leaves, and flowers. The ripe heirloom tomatoes that are the subject of this piece had particularly beautiful colors, with the yellow tomato showing subtle orange/red undertones and the green tomato blushing red on one side.
This piece is painted on an 8×10″ canvas and finished with a gloss varnish. It is framed in a wide Renaissance-style gold frame. Frame included in the purchase. Canvas signed on the front and back.
